The wood-to-metal fit isn’t perfect, but I wouldn’t call it sloppy, either; even though the stock features a couple of places where the fit could be closer, at least it’s uniform, and the parts that need to mate solidly do so. The 10-22 is far superior in every respect. They are a great working rifle that has an advantage a rookie like you will miss every time until someone explains it to you. Glenfield model 25. I am happy that the ammo makers are finally catching up with demand. Reduce your Marlin 60 trigger pull from 6.5 lbs to 4lbs and improve your accuracy! Sights and optics that are made to fit rimfire rifles in general will fit your Model 60, and there are a few places that make snazzy replacement stocks. Will be passed down to my son’s 4 sure. Just in case. I almost never rapid fire anyway, I’m interested in accuracy a lot more. Bench rest at 100 yards, they are as good as their contemporary Nylon66s or Brownings. Great shooters for plinking cans or paper, or small game, rabbit squirrel etc.. The Marlin will outshoot the Ruger every time .
