This season, Survivor travels to the shores of a sacred lake in a land where the modern world meshes with the mystical wilderness - China. China is a top-tier season which every fan should watch, and an excellent starting point for newcomers. Strategically he was pretty good, being able to spot Todd as a threat right away, but i think he suffered from a little to much hubris and he had an entertaining exit. Producers were given an \"unprecedented access\" to several Chinese monuments and landmarks, and they incorporated many aspects of China's vast culture into the game (design of campsites, challenge concepts, Tribal Council set, etc.). She was met with a welcome reception. Unfortunately, she was just on the wrong side of the numbers post-merge, or I think she might have had a very good chance of taking the win. I'm currently looking for the merge buff and willing to spend $100+ on it when I find it. It’s understandable that James became a big fan favourite as I find it really hard to dislike anything about the guy, his story was very compelling to me because as his confessionals progressed it felt like James was slowly getting the hang of the game and really gaining confidence in his ability to go far. Probably, yeah. Nice write up - but no mention of the Bad Boy of Poker? It wasn't fake in the sense that someone knowingly planted it, but it was still funny to see. :) One of my favourite seasons!!! I particularly thought the camp locations where really interesting. In the early days of the game, she found a clover patch in FeiLong camp and raced to tell her tribe how excited she was about this find. After a season in Japan filled with deception, idols fake and real, great gameplay, intense moments, a champion was was able to rise as Em came out as the winner with some great runner ups and culminating in one of our best seasons yet! Another funny Leslie story is that she found a spiritual connection with clovers after finding a 4 leafed clover while preparing for Survivor. Courtney made a deal with Leslie that if ever she had to get up in the night, weather cos she was sick, needed the bathroom, or just someone to speak to, Leslie was permitted to wake Courtney to walk with her. Amanda: For some reason, I thought I heard somewhere that Amanda won this season, so I was fully expecting her to win at the end. I find the best FTCs are always the ones where players are able to really set themselves apart and win the game, it is so often where I pass my final judgment on whether or not I thought a player played a worthy game, in this case Todd really set himself apart while Amanda was rather disappointing, I was also pretty impressed with Courtney being as honest with her game as she was, I think riding coattails is a viable strategy if its your safest bet to get further in the game, and I hope someone can make a strong case of it at some point. The layers of condescension were funny enough, but i also think it reveals just how underestimated Amanda was by the outcasts, as a viewer i thought she was one of the best competitors out there strategically speaking, but scenes like that and the way she was treated at FTC make me think a lot of the outcasts saw her as an idiot that got pulled along to the end. By list ten favourites, I assume you mean ten of my favourite players: There would be some honourable mentions. She flew under the radar for most of the game and was a very likeable personality. James returned as one of the ten favorites who would compete against a tribe of die-hard Survivor fans. (Only buff id ever spend that money on though). Go behind the scenes with Jeff Probst as he takes you through a day on SURVIVOR: CHINA. PG fit the role of the underdog very well, and while she may have come off as being a little whiny, I was impressed with her passion and her drive to stay alive in the game, had she gotten Denise to flip with her and Eric she may very well have won the whole thing, she didn’t stop scheming and lobbying until she was voted out, and I really dig that about her. usually they're about Survivor: China). By the end of the day, the rest of the tribe had eaten all the clovers. Major Theme: Contrasting personalities and styles of play.. Pros: The smaller cast means that every player gets a full story. If so, I might wait till I finish to watch them. Courtney was awesome, she played a really good pest and helped inject this season with some needed sass and comedy, her game, while not as intentional or well-played imo, reminded me a lot of Sandra, in that she was constantly blunt with everyone about how she felt and was cool with voting anyone off who wasn’t her, this type of predictable behavior is what kept Courtney alive so long, and she also managed to make some solid relationships which helped guarantee her some votes in FTC.
